A Trip Down Memory Lane...

I had always dreamed of having my own business where I could develop and manufacture products that are useful to humans.

I was always fascinated by the idea of recording music, so after four years of Physics at UCLA, I got a job as a recording engineer.

After getting some experience, I started to see how sound recording could be improved.  This naturally led to the founding of Clover Systems in 1971, to design and manufacture Professional Audio equipment.

Around 1968, I figured out that the best way to store and transmit audio is digitally.  So I became a pioneer in the digital audio field.  I spent many years promoting the idea of recording music digitally, and trying to make digital audio products.  This in turn led to involvement with the technology of optical disc recording - Laserdiscs, Compact Discs, and DVDs.

In addition to working as a recording engineer at several prominent studios and record companies, I was a technical director in the TV business, and designed musical instruments.

55 Years in Product Development...

I started this website around 1995 to sell my Clover Systems products.  I am now 80 years old and no longer able to do the things I once could, so I want to turn the website into a sort of historical document and blog, so I can relive my youth and brag about how much work I did in only 60 years!

I hope that some of this material may be helpful to young aspiring inventors and entrepreneurs.  Take a look at some of the products I have developed, and read about some of my adventures in the music business.
